About Us: Kintbury Pre-School
Kintbury Pre-school was first established in 1976 by a group of local parents who wished to be more involved with the development of their children, and to this day we encourage parents to be fully involved with the setting and the progress of their children by joining the committee or helping with fundraising events throughout the year.

We accept children from the term after they have turned 2 years old, up until the age they go to primary school.

We accept funded hours. Charges for any extra hours are as follows:
2 year olds: £7.50 an hour, 3+ Year olds: £6.50

If you would like to join our community pre-school or just come and see what we are about, please contact us using the email or mobile number at the top of this page!

We strive to create a nurturing and caring environment for our children, With Safeguarding and development at the forefront of our day - to - day running of the school.

Location
We are based in the heart of the village in the Preston Hall, just a few paces from the Primary School with which we have very close links. Pre-school children who are due to start school make regular visits to the school reception class particularly in the summer term to gain confidence in the environment and to spend time with the class teacher.

Venue
The Preston Hall is a bright, spacious venue with a fully secure all-weather outdoor play area. We have wonderful facilities with mud kitchens, sand pits, obstacle courses, ride ons, a football/basketball court, cooking equipment, a home corner, a reading corner, a maths area, motor-skills tables, climbing equipment, toys, games, puzzle...everything eager young minds might require to inspire, excite and engage them.

Governance
We are governed by the Pre-school Learning Alliance constitution and are registered with OFSTED. The Pre-school is managed by a parent committee which is elected annually at the AGM in September.
Our Aims
-
To offer through play, a wide range of activities in a stimulating and safe environment to help children learn and develop to their full potential.
-
To encourage independence, a positive self-image and to have a sense of fun in a group where children are happy and want to be.
-
To meet all children’s needs, giving equal consideration to all and promoting good manners.
-
To develop and maintain a friendly relationship with all parents/carers and to be an organisation which they want to promote.
